Reference has being filed against chief justice ~ Affairs Outline

Reference has been filed in the Supreme Judicial Council against Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar on the charges of misconduct. This reference was filed by the present service district and session judge of the Kohat (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa), Ahmed Sultan Tareen. It has been said in the reference that conduct of the Chief Justice from recent months is in contrary with designation of the Country's Largest Court's head and of the Code of Conduct defined in Article 209 of Constitution. The Chief Justice has showed misconduct through his conduct and judicial measures, therefore, action should be taken against him by Supreme Judicial Council under Article 209 sub clause 5 of the Constitution.
